Welcome to New District Representatives:
At the May meeting, 2 new leaders were chosen to plan and facilitate the work of our group, and to serve as our representatives to Bishop Lennon at the Diocesan Pastoral Council.

Oct to April - On The Road with the Catholic Commission -- 3 evenings in different parishes with different programs. The April 19 program is now set for Our Lady of Victory in Tallmadge.
Bereavement Support at Our Lady of Victory in Tallmadge 6 Thursdays, Jan 5, 12 & 26, plus March 5-19. 7pm in PC 101.
Journey to Bereavement Support at Queen of Heaven - 6 Mondays beginning January 9,7-8:30 in church. All are welcome.
St Hilary Pro-Life Vigil - Friday, January 20 with adoration continuing.
Holy Family Organ Dedication & Recital - Sunday, January 29, 3 pm
January 29, 2012 -- Couples` Day Out St. Sebastian hosts a day with Mass, Speaker, Renewal of Vows & Candlelight Dinner.
Queen of Heaven Concert & Lenten Activities - A concert on Feb. 19 features choirs from 4 area Catholic Churches--+ Lent.
Tacji Concert at Queen of Heaven -- Sunday Feb. 25. Nationally known composer & contemporary singer.
Summit District Retreat Registration - Monday, March 5 at Loyola of the Lakes. Sr. Margaret Mach presenter. Registration Deadline Feb. 13
Mediterranean & Biblical Lands Cruise - Begins October 25.

Queen of Heaven Sunday Community Breakfast -- on the 1st Sunday of each month from 8:30 to 11 in the Parish Life Center.
Young Adult Programs:
1) Grounds 4 Faith - A Coffee House for Young Adults in the Akron area. Generally monthly at Guardian
Angels in Copley. November Events, GFF Brochure,
2) SparkFaith.com --A new ministry for young adults: Check out this new ministry with a goal of reaching young adults through a variety of media based programs. The group is based at Immaculate Conception in Kenmore, but all are welcome. Learn more, and see info about scheduled events on their new website. Flyers for events coming soon:

The Summit District is a regional group of the Diocese of Cleveland. Pastors and pastoral leaders of the Catholic parishes and organizations of Summit County Ohio are invited to be a part of the group. We are a consultative body in communication to and from our Cleveland Diocesan Bishop Richard Lennon. We meet five times a year to share prayer, a meal, fellowship, and a time to share news and concerns of our ministries and those we represent.
